OUR BOYS KICKING UP A STORM!

Not only did Lux win Best Veteran in Show for us at the KZN Working & Herding Breeds Association Open Show this year, but Cito and Balou cracked up fantastic wins for us too:

Cito took Best of Breed and 2nd in the Herding Group overall while Balou breezed in to win the Open Class and Best Open Dog on Show too - handled by Bronwyn.Recently we entered Luck Dragon for the KZN Working and Herding Breeds Association Open Show and guess what?! He rounded up winning his 2nd Best Veteran in Show for 2011.... not only that but he also walked away with the Winner of the Reserve MiniGrand on the same day - Lux showed off like a true showman he has always been even under extremely hot and humid tropical temperatures of close on 40 degrees.

Ch Snoweyriver X-Lord Cougar - "Cito" is a winner yet again and clocks up 2 x Best of Breeds over the week-end under judges: Glenda de Taranto and President of KUSA, Mr Greg Eva.

Balou presented himself well at the Zululand Open Show on Sunday 5th June. He was awarded BEST OF BREED and 3rd in the adult Herding Group.

Bronwyn grooms Balou to perfection each time for the showring. Balou takes a keen interest in his surroundings and stacks quite naturally, ears pricked forward. Balou is co-owned with Bronwyn.

On the 13th March 2011, our young Junior entered the ring after a long break from the show ring. Having already accomplished a BEST PUPPY IN SHOW win in 2010, he did not disappoint us – Balou already maturing with a thick, plush snow white long coat and bushy tail entered the showring in style at the D & D Open Show 2011 and walked away with BEST JUNIOR IN HERDING GROUP and then BEST JUNIOR IN SHOW ! (judges : Nicky Robertson and Pat Rabie).

Once again on the 17th April 2011, he impressed the judge with his sheer beauty and elegance and went on to win BEST JUNIOR IN THE HERDING GROUP.(judge: J.Browning).

Balou is now co-owned with Bronwyn Lawson and will continue to represent my kennel.

Selectively chosen to enter the Pretoria Kennel Club Championship show under USA judge: Mrs Zielinsky. Camilla presented herself well and clocked up her first BEST PUPPY Certificate, RCC and 4th in the Herding Puppy Group. Camilla sports outstanding movement, very good proportions, confident and outgoing temperament and a snow white coat.

Camilla is now co-owned with Steven Pickering and will represent both SNOWEY RIVER and WHITE ROCK kennels.

BALOU & CITO AGAIN – DOUBLE WIN IN THE RAIN !
On a cold winters day, with showers of rain Balou wins Best Puppy WSSD & 2nd Puppy Herding Group at Natal Coast Kennel Club Open show on 27th June 2010.Cito wins BEST OF BREED under judge : Yvonne Murgatroyd. CITO NOW HAS 13x BEST OF BREEDS UNDER HIS PAWS !! in a limited show career. Wowing judges local and international he is our Man of the Match!

SNOWEY RIVER DOMINATES THE WSSD RING WITH...

2 x Bests of Breed over the KUSA National Events Show Week-end! NOT ONLY THAT... We bred the mother of the latest KUSA National WSSD for 2010! (Ch Snoweyriver Fara Alphine Empress - from Ch Lord Camto von Sutumer-Grund by Ch Arizona Frist-Lady of Snoweyriver.) Congratulations to the winner.

IT WAS THUMBS UP FOR OUR BREEDING ALL THE WAY

Starting with a new champion to our kennel Ch.SNOWEY RIVER WINTER STAR (a Luck Dragon and Ivory Star daughter) owned by Steven Pickering/Charmaine Mavian, ‘Sally’ cruised in to win the first BEST OF BREED for the weekend at the FCI International Dog Show and clearly knocked the socks off the boys ! Sally was awarded the CACIB female and went on to beat her rivals handled superbly by Steven.

Our ‘rising’ young star CH.SNOWEY RIVER X-LORD COUGAR got his first EXCELLENT grading at his first FCI show ! and the next day went on to win BEST OF BREED at the KUSA Championship show under international judge Rafael de Santiago (Puerto Rico). (our second big win for the weekend)

Cito made us particularly proud on the Sunday at only 24 months of age he was the youngest WSSD out of the five champions on show ! Not only this but he was chosen for the final pullout of two WSSD’s…………….he gaited beautifully around the ring , showed well under pressure amongst the older dogs and showed how promising a STAR he is fast becoming !

BOTH CITO AND SALLY MADE MY KENNEL RIGHT REAL PROUD OVER THE WEEKEND.

SALLY IS NOT ONLY A PRETTY FACE BUT HAS ALREADY ACHIEVED HER ‘FLYBALL EXCELLENCE’ CERTIFICATE AND IS SHOWING REAL PROMISE IN THE WORKING FIELDS.

………..yep yep yep it’s all in the GENES ! So watch out for Sally and Cito folks.

HOT ON WINNING HEELS & CATCHING UP FAST

Cito’s just warming up ! At the recent KZN Working & Herding Breeds Association Open Show under judge : Adrian Watts, Cito breezed into win Best of Breed, 3rd in the Herding Group line up, Best Open Dog in his breed, Best Herding Open Dog and finally Reserve Best Open Dog In Show under judge : Joy McFarlane from Cape Town. Both judges were very impressed with our young boy. Cito has now gained more points towards qualifying for KZN’s Supreme Dog of the Year contest.

Sugar on the other hand had ‘nothing much to say about this particular show’ which she thought was real pollycock, she showed us some real attitude and was just plain naughty – never mind Sugar we have a little surprise for you ! this weekend you’re coming out again and this time its serious stuff at your first champ show. We do have something really nice to say about Sugar though – she is right real pretty – spoilt maybe, but pretty definitely , a classy little short coat who is sure to do well ‘once she gets her act together’ !
