Cito has won the KUSA NATIONAL WSSD TITLE FOR 2011 and has qualified for KZN SUPREME DOG CONTEST among many Best of Breeds this year. During his somewhat limited show career he has been judged favourably by some of the best judges in the world.
My comments on Cito’s Performance this year: After a somewhat difficult start to this year I can only say that I admire Cito for his loyalty, his absolute willingness to learn and sheer courage to take on not one but 2 ‘assailants’ at the same time during his manwork training sessions ! – there are not many dogs that can do this under such enormous pressure. He has had the ability to ‘work’ things out after his ordeal, to trust me entirely as pack leader and to enjoy his work. It is always difficult to keep a ‘son’ of a great sire – as Canto was : how will this son ever match his father? Well, Cito has surpassed what Canto did and is certainly not only a fine specimen in the showring but is also fast becoming a fantastic working dog – talented in the advanced fields of 3 phase work, obedience,manwork and tracking. The apple never falls far from the tree its seems and so the Canto legend lives on. Well done Cito !

Veteran Lux!

Earlier this year my old man CH.SNOWEYRIVER LUCK DRAGON went BEST IN SHOW VETERAN and now qualifies for KZN SUPREME DOG CONTEST too !

My comments on Lux : How does one comment on a dog that keeps getting better as he gets older ?! Lux the showman, the child-minder, the show-off and most of all ‘mom’s’ protector and love of my life ! Charming Lux put his best paws forward this year, enjoying his travels and ever-confident stayed by my side ensuring that I don’t ‘hit a wobbly’ ! Lux is simply THE BEST.

Balou shines true and takes the majority of the CC’s against his rivals and whips up his last CC to gaining championship status.

My comments on Balou: ‘Baby Balou’ suddenly grew up this year, he had lots of hurdles to jump and did so in fine style with the help of his new mom Bronwyn who has loved and cared for him and turned him out to his best during the show season. Balou has a bright future, maturing rapidly with a beautiful ‘mane’ and genuine long coat – he turns heads wherever he goes. I still get a huge big wet kiss and bear hug when I see him. Balou will be back in the ring in 2012 – and entering the ring as always with a dash of speed and head held high ! Well done Balou!

ANGELINA LADY OF MANSTONHILL

Angie is growing up mighty fine! And has excellent conformation and bone, she is a beautiful long coat puppy with lots of spirit. Angie and Dollar are best of mates and are completely unaware of how genetically important they both are to refreshing the bloodlines in our country. Both Angie and Dollar will represent our kennel in the showring in 2012. (Angie’s page coming shortly). Maggie "O'Brien"

Our ONE AND ONLY

Maggie gave birth to a beautiful puppy boy on the 9th December 2011 who is spoilt by all at home. Needless to say he is double the size of any other puppy I have ever seen at his age since – of course, the milkbar is open 24/7 for him !
