AWESOME BALOU

COMPLETES HIS KUSA ‘PUPPY FOUNDATION ASSESSMENT TEST’

Balou completed successfully his first public character/obedience test with ease on the 1st May 2010 at the Pinetown GSD Club.

Balou proves he is not just a ‘pretty’ boy !

He has outstanding movement for a puppy of his age and has ‘ring presence’ too thoroughly enjoying his puppy show training. He enjoys his ‘Puppy Day Care’ school with Bronwyn and the girls who adore him and he is proving to be quite the clown at home too, always clowning around with his ‘superiors’ at home – the girls find him rather charming and can’t resist an invite to play with him. His ‘favourite’ playmate, however, is big boy Cito – nothing quite like rough and tumbling with another boy!

Balou has a favourite toy called ‘Ollie’ the Octopus!

UNDER AFRICAN SKIES, I WAS BORN A SON TO THE SPIRIT OF A GREAT HEART

Of course, he is extremely proud to play big brother to his ‘brothers and sisters’ born in Holland of AI earlier this year, afterall it’s all in the family !

Balou just keeps getting better ~ and that's the way we like them ~ !

IMPACT BREEDING

Balou sports a superb pedigree with his sire being a proven
stud dog of outstanding calibre, CH.Snowey River Luck
Dragon, and his mom the pretty and demure Snowey River
Touch of Class. I have great expectations of Balou and
understandably so, since he is to carry on his sires bloodline.

Balou is a medium bone, medium strong puppy with
outstanding black pigment and snow white coat. He is very
masculine with excellent male expression and almond
shaped dark brown eyes. His feet are tight and neat having
black pads. His ear set is erect and ears firm.

We are delighted to see the resemblance of Chango in Balou
ensuring that Lux’s genes remain influential for years to
come.

THE SHOWSTOPPER

Balou shapes up well on a show stack too – every which way he just seems to look good, no fidgeting to get him set up correctly – he has natural show presence.

In his very first breed show in KZN recently he clocked up Best Puppy and 4th in the Puppy Herding Group.......not too shabby Mrs Abby for his first time out ! Judge was Mrs Cheryl Battey/Gauteng. Well respected for her views.

I’m proud of my name BALOU !

A little boy looks up to the distant night sky and points to a STAR he once knew, a beautiful fluffy star that once lived with his family. He was a famous star in his day and was named Balou-Aramis of White Mountain, Austria. He had many children, grand children , great children and great great grandchildren and we are mighty proud to say that he is in the pedigree of Arctic Diamond. And so we are honoured to name our new boy after the ‘Super-dog’ of Manuela Ritzmaier.
So Manuela and Nico, when you look to the STAR’s, remember that in Africa is a living star too, my baby ‘BALOU’ !

Mom says, Chango knew that she was sad because he joined the night Stars so he sent her a little gift, THAT’S ME ! yep ! yep ! yep !
